Hygiene

Your safety, comfort, and well-being are an essential part of the OFFSCRIPT experience.

At OFFSCRIPT INK, we believe exceptional tattooing begins with a clean, safe, and carefully prepared environment. Hygiene is a shared responsibility between our artists and our clients, and a few simple steps help ensure the best possible experience for everyone.

OUR STANDARDS

Every appointment begins with the proper preparation of the workspace. Tattoo stations, equipment, and frequently touched surfaces are cleaned and disinfected using appropriate procedures. Our artists follow professional hygiene practices, including hand hygiene, disposable gloves, sterile single-use needles, and protective barriers where necessary. All materials are handled carefully to help minimise the risk of cross-contamination.

BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT

Personal hygiene is an important part of preparing for your tattoo. We kindly ask all clients to arrive freshly showered, wearing clean, comfortable clothing, and with the area being tattooed properly washed. Please pay particular attention to areas that naturally experience more perspiration, especially during warmer months. There is no need for special products or excessive washing. A normal shower with mild soap and water is usually all that is needed. Please avoid applying heavy lotions, oils, or perfumes to the area before your session.

SKIN CONDITION

Healthy skin is essential for a successful tattoo. Please let us know in advance if the area has sunburn, irritation, rashes, open wounds, or signs of infection. Tattooing over compromised skin can increase the risk of complications and affect healing. If necessary, we may recommend postponing your appointment until the skin has recovered.

PREPARING YOUR BODY

We recommend getting enough sleep, eating a proper meal, and staying well hydrated before your session. Please avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before your appointment. Wear loose, clean clothing that provides easy access to the area being tattooed. For longer sessions, you are welcome to bring water and a small snack.

DURING YOUR SESSION

To maintain a clean working environment, we kindly ask clients to follow their artist's instructions throughout the appointment. Please avoid touching the prepared tattoo area, sterile equipment, or work surfaces unnecessarily. If you need a break, feel uncomfortable, or have any concerns, simply let your artist know. Our team is always happy to explain the process and answer your questions.

AFTER YOUR TATTOO

Proper aftercare is just as important as preparation. Once your session is complete, your artist will explain how to clean and care for your new tattoo, how to protect it during healing, and which activities or products to avoid. Following these instructions carefully helps reduce the risk of infection and supports a healthy healing process. If you notice unusual or worsening redness, swelling, pain, or discharge, seek medical advice.

A SHARED COMMITMENT

We understand that everyone has different routines, schedules, and circumstances. Our hygiene guidelines are never intended to make anyone feel uncomfortable or judged. They reflect the professional standards we aim to maintain and the respect we have for every person who walks through our doors. A clean environment, properly prepared skin, and mutual respect allow us to focus on creating exceptional tattoos in a safe and comfortable setting.
